LONGEVITY PROGRAM DIRECTOR & HEAD COACH
Coach Heidi has been with Krewe since 2018, and found her passion for the sport after looking for a way to improve her health and well being after a lengthy battle with Lyme Disease. With a background in marathon running and weight training, she has found a passion in mentoring others to help them achieve their own process of discovery. “I love witnessing their mental fortitude develop. As they become more confident with their place in the class and in the group dynamic they are more willing to go all-in, sometimes in the Metcon, and sometimes in practicing technique – practicing focusing – for more complex patterns,” she says. “We see them learn that discomfort is temporary, and that settling into discomfort comfortably has limitless transfer worth; it is a life-skill that can and should be developed. With mental fortitude growing, their physical fortitude develops and a positive feedback loop has blossomed. From there, they can choose what do in the world with their growing physical, mental, and emotional fortitude.”
While she may spend a lot of time at at the gym, she also enjoys playing piano, painting, and spending time outdoors with her canine companions Greta and Gladys.
